NAJAM SHEIKH

Najam Sheikh is the Managing Director. He has over 20 years HR/Equality/community relations
experience working in the private, public and third sector, with some of the UK’s largest
organisations. He is a graduate in Business Administration, working towards his CIPD qualification to
Associate level. He is a NEBOSH qualified Health and Safety professional. He is also a Justice of the
Peace sitting at Kirklees Magistrates Court. Extensive experience of providing visible & supportive
leadership covering a 20 year period in the private, public & voluntary sector.


Significant experience & ability of supporting, motivating & encouraging staff covering a 20 year
period, achieved through a transformational style of leadership, setting a positive example, regular
staff supervision sessions linked to service plan targets, setting clear SMART based objectives,
convening budget monitoring meetings, appraisals and chairing team meetings. 

Najam brings a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience, having successfully led a primary school for five years. He has developed a deep-rooted understanding of local community needs and has cultivated a culture of continuous improvement within all the organisations he has represented.

Previous employers have included HBOS Plc, ITV, Leeds City Council, Business in the Community and most recently the Pay and Employment Rights Service. He is a SFEDI accredited Business Consultant & is a City & Guilds qualified Manual Handling Trainer. He offers his time voluntarily to community projects including weekends as a Junior Football coach for a local football team. He is a FA qualified Level 2 coach.
